Assessment and treatment of ear wax blockage. Includes examination of both ears and syringing if soft wax is present.
Before your appointment: Please use over-the-counter wax softening ear drops for 3 days, available from any pharmacy without a prescription.
Ear syringing carries a small risk of temporary dizziness, tinnitus, discomfort, or failure to fully remove all wax. Rarely, perforation of the eardrum can occur.
If ear infection is identified, a medical consultation is included in this appointment.

Blood testing services are reserved for active registered patients of Suffolk Street Surgery (attended in within the past 24 months). Tests must be authorised by an Irish Medical Council registered Consultant. At the time of scheduling, please supply the Consultant's contact information. Results are typically available within two weeks. As we only facilitate a select range of routine tests, please verify availability by emailing your requirements prior to booking; payments are non-refundable for unauthorised or unavailable tests.
Routine care for patients with ADHD. New patients welcome to book this consultation type. Includes repeating of long term prescriptions (where appropriate) for six months after which patients must book ADHD yearly nurse review for further six month prescription. Includes cardiovascular assessment including blood pressure check, heart rate measurement, height/ weight measurement. Where needed, this appointment includes electrocardiogram (ECG) & routine bloods (FBC, A1c, renal, liver, lipids)

At short notice I needed bloodwork done for an upcoming appointment with a consultant in the Hernitage hospital. I was appointed Dr. Claudia Guerrero to carry out the blood test. Dr. Guerrero was very thorough and took my blood pressure, my height and weight and BMI. then went into the history of my condition, and discussed my current meds and gave me advice on concerns I had about other symptoms. The blood test only took a couple of minutes and I hardly knew it was happening. I left the surgery feeling like I was with someone who actually cared about my health...so thankyou Dr. Guerrero for that experience.
